Buyers who hope to take advantage of the current Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme have until 15 December to do so, before the deadline closes. Applicants eligible for the current scheme will have until 31 March 2021 to complete their purchases.
With the Help to Buy scheme, you could buy your perfect home with just a 5% deposit*. It's worth noting that the new scheme will only help first-time buyers, so if you fall outside that category you may want to explore how the current scheme could help you.
Stamp Duty Holiday
With the stamp duty holiday also available until 31 March 2021, now is the ideal time to consider buying a new build home. Before the stamp duty holiday was introduced on 8 July 2020, only homes below £125,000 and first-time buyers spending up to £300,000 were exempt from paying stamp duty.
Under the provisions of the stamp duty holiday however, anyone buying a property worth up to £500,000 will be exempt from paying stamp duty.
The stamp duty holiday offers buyers a significant saving, meaning that now could be the perfect time to get your foot on the property ladder or take your next step as a homeowner.
If you're hoping to apply for the current Help to Buy scheme, while also taking advantage of the stamp duty holiday, Morrish Homes has a number of stunning new build properties available from developments across Dorset, Somerset and Cornwall.
